I did some research on those Alienware laptops and theyr overrated, the performance is better but by little lead, and the price is over 2 times Qosmio and Sager, and I think Qosmio>Sager for prices too. I think I've decided, any feedbacks, comments?

The Tosh with the i7 720QM. A CPU that has i7 as it's logo means it's a quad core with hyperthreading. Which means it has a total of 8 threads to run. For example, here's a screenshot of my i7 920.

Versus a core 2 Duo screenshot:

Notice, the i7 has 4 cores, 8 threads, the core 2 duo has 2 cores, 2 threads. Think how much faster it will be in games and multi tasking with a 6 thread difference...

Now, for the GPUs, here's a very good chart by Nvidia for laptop GPUs. Note the difference between the GTS 360M and the 9600M.

Wink

All in all, I say go for the Toshiba with the i7 and GTS 360M.

P.S. Notebook coolers here: http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/category.php?category_id=1667

I'd have to agree with Master Halo...the i7 is the fastest thing on the market right now...but I'm still an AMD man myself.

I'd advise against eBay, but if you're determined to use it, make sure that the money goes to a 3rd party that will hold the funds until you receive the merchandise and it's to your satisfaction, otherwise you may get ripped off and never see the merchandise.

You have to think of eBay as the world's largest garage sale with anyone being able to claim anything. I've heard of folks having their identities stolen via eBay, having money stolen and merchandise never delivered. Buyer beware! Shocked

I've known a few guys who bought video cards and CPUs off ebay for $300-$800 and never gotten the parts. After they completed the Paypal transaction of course, and then Paypal won't do anything to help. So I avoid it.

Here we go. Playing with my i7, getting it benchmark stable at almost 4.1Ghz.

For you guys who don't know, this CPU comes at 2.66Ghz when you buy it. I'm now at almost 4.1. Mr. Green

Nice, Lord Caedus, but what do you do with it once you get it to a stable running frequency? I'm assuming games, but there's more to life than that. I mean, as far as machines go, yours is next to a super-computer and I'll bet it can do some serious spreadsheets and word processing, especially for school! (hint, hint!)
